1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what is and is not allowed on My Guest. It applies together with the Terms and Conditions to everyone who uses the Service.
2. Legitimate events only
The Service may only be used for legitimate events the organizer is authorized to manage, such as private functions, corporate events, conferences, and ticketed gatherings. The Service must not be used to create fake or deceptive events or to collect information under false pretenses.
3. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- access, or attempt to access, another person's account, event, or guest data without authorization;
- upload, import, or process information about guests you are not authorized to use, including lists bought, scraped, or otherwise obtained without permission;
- use the Service to harass, discriminate against, stalk, or harm any person;
- use the Service for fraudulent purposes, including fake check-ins intended to mislead;
- misuse guest data, for example by reselling it, publishing it, or using it for unrelated marketing;
- attempt to bypass account permissions, event access controls, or the intended limits of the Service;
- interfere with the Service, including overloading it, probing its security, or disrupting other users' events.
4. Guest data expectations
Organizers should collect only the guest details they genuinely need to run their event, and should be able to explain to guests why their information was collected if asked. Guest information belongs to the organizer's relationship with their guests; the Service is a tool for managing it, not a source of contacts.
5. Enforcement
If we become aware of a violation of this policy, we may investigate and take action, including warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, or account termination, as described in the Terms and Conditions. Serious or unlawful conduct may be reported to the authorities where the law requires it.
