1. About these terms
My Guest ("the Service") provides event organizers with tools for managing guest lists, QR-code check-ins, VIP and plus-one tracking, table and seat assignments, arrival times, attendance reports, and guest-list exports. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Eligibility and account security
You may use the Service only if you are legally able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, for all activity that occurs under your account, and for notifying us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Organizer responsibilities
As an organizer, you are responsible for the guest information you enter or import into the Service. You must have the necessary permissions, consents, and a valid legal basis to collect and use your guests' information, and you must give your guests any notices the law requires. You are also responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to run your events, including venue access and admission controls.
4. Use of the service features
You may use guest lists, event QR codes, check-in, VIP status, table and seat assignments, plus-one tracking, arrival reports, and guest-list exports solely to manage events you are authorized to manage. The event QR code is a shared credential for your event: you are responsible for where you display it and who can scan it.
5. Prohibited activities
You must not:
- access accounts, events, or guest data that you are not authorized to access;
- share your credentials or allow others to use your account;
- upload or process information you are not authorized to use;
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or for events that violate applicable law;
- attempt to bypass account permissions, security controls, or rate limits;
- interfere with or overload the Service, or reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell it.
6. Service availability and technical interruptions
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, and events beyond our control may cause interruptions or temporary unavailability.
7. Data accuracy and backups
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, import, or edit in the Service, and for verifying imported records before relying on them. While we take care to store records reliably, we do not guarantee that backups are complete or current, and we encourage you to keep your own copies of reports and exports for events you host.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by the app owner and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the content and data you submit. You grant us a limited right to host and process that content solely to operate the Service for you.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. On closure, your access to the Service ends; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app owner is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing here affects your statutory rights.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When a change is material, we will provide notice in the app before the change takes effect and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the updated version before you continue using the Service. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you agree to the updated terms. The current version and its effective date are shown on this page.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to the Service are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
[Requires owner confirmation] The specific governing jurisdiction and the required dispute-resolution steps (for example, negotiation before legal action) have not yet been set by the app owner and must be confirmed before this section is treated as final.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the channels listed on our Contact and Legal Support page.
